Pork Jerky Salty Liquorice (salmiakki). We have tried all different taste combos during the journey of Kuivalihakundi. Everything from mustard to Jaloviina, the very finnish classical alcohol. This salty liquorice as a flavour was a tricky one. It hunted us long before we had guts to actually try it. The reason for our doubts was that salty liquorice as a taste has always been both truly loved and hated. Even here in Finland where this interesting liquorice sweet was originally created.
The taste combo with juicy pork meat, chili and salty liquorice was an instant success. The flavour is both spicy and sophisticated at the same time. It kicks and hugs your tongue. This jerky is not at all “sweet sweet” even if one of the base flavours is candy driven. This Salty Liquorice is definitely not for pussies!
Throw the jerky bag into the pocket of your favourite jacket and enjoy where ever you need a perfect snack!! Just rip the bag open and pour the meat to your mouth! Or make your own mama proud by serving a pasta with a hint of salty liquorice! You might already know that our meat is not too emotionally sensitive. It won’t offend if you forget it to the last corner of your kitchen closet for almost a year. When finding it, just rip the bag open and pour the delicious jerky to your mouth!! Our jerky wont need anything.
