Greasy Pork Jerky Pineapple Mango Sour

This is a filthy tropical and gum-tickling set: juicy and fruity pork jerky where mango, pineapple and beer meet fatty pork shoulder. This jerky is seasoned with beer from CoolHead, a Finnish craft beer microbrewery, specifically their Pineapple Mango Sour, along with real fruit. Beer went into the marinade by an insane amount, almost a can per kilo of meat, so we didn’t skimp on the quantity. Oh boy!

What does it taste like?

Fresh mango and pineapple bring sweetness and delicious fruitiness, and the sour beer flavored with the same fruits backs it up perfectly in this set. And then there’s the thing that makes Greasy Pork live up to its name: fat. This is pork shoulder. And pork shoulder means you’ll find fat. It makes this juicy and softer than many other jerkies. When you grab a piece, it won’t be the last one. Not before the bag is empty.

Where?

This works in any situation, but especially well with a good drink. Whether it’s a basic lager, the so-called Kerava cappuccino, or some fancier specialty beer, I’d bet Henkka’s head on it that the flavor combo hits ridiculously well.
